Rates and PolicieS

We understand the decision to begin a new therapeutic relationship can be a difficult one, with numerous variables including the potential “fit” between patient and clinician, the mode of therapy and the cost of therapy. To help prospective patients plan for the costs of therapy at Helios we have provided the following guidelines:

  • Helios Psychiatry does not currently accept insurance. Patients of Helios are required to pay out of pocket at the time of service and are asked to keep a valid form of payment on file which is auto-deducted if payment is not received at the time of the appointment.

  • Patients are provided access to “super-bills” including requisite information for submission to PPO health insurance providers, however patients are required to prepare insurance submissions themselves. Therapy is often considered a valid expense for various Medical Savings Account plans, however patients must confirm this for their own plans independently.

  • All clinicians at Helios charge at an hourly rate. Our MD rates begin at $600 per hour, our NP rates begin at $400 per hour and our Therapist rates begin $400 per hour. Rates are subject to change and must be finalized with your clinician. Existing patients suffering from financial hardship are eligible to receive financial aid and may inquire directly with their assigned clinician.

  • Intake appointments are scheduled and billed as 2 hour appointments, billed at the hourly rate of the assigned clinician.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is billed at flat rate of $1200. To become eligible for KAP at Helios, patients must complete a full medical intake and are required to schedule an integration session following the procedure. Group Ketamine sessions are regularly made available at lower cost to existing patients.

  • Discounted and package pricing is available on a case by case basis and should be discussed with your provider.

Patients at Helios who are seen for medication management are required to schedule a minimum of one hour-long appointment every three months. Patients who are administered “at-home” Ketamine prescriptions are required to schedule integration sessions following at home treatments.
